This was my second rafting experience. The first was in Barinas, Venezuela—though it was quite different due to the river conditions and climate, both were unforgettable adventures.
We drove about 50 minutes from Portland to the Clackamas River, one of the closest options for rafting near the city.

We took their transport to the starting point on one of the Pacific Northwest’s most beautiful and exciting rivers—the Clackamas River. A 13-mile journey through ancient forests and cliffs, with Class III rapids rushing over crystal-clear water.
This is a great trip for all skill levels. No experience needed—just be ready to paddle and get wet!

With my wife “MATE,” my great adventure companion:
This trip was an incredible experience. We started around 11 am with all safety instructions and gear on, then continued downstream for about 13 miles, tackling at least 14 rapids along the way. Halfway through, we stopped at a pre-arranged spot for lunch, used the restroom, and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings before continuing to get soaked and savor the final part of the journey.
