They carry the voices, struggles, and dreams of immigrant families, educators, and youth mentors—transforming them into programs that empower, heal, and inspire. More than directors, they are bridge-builders, ensuring that every decision reflects the values of inclusion, resilience, and collective belonging.

Anibal Rocheta - FOUNDER AND CEO

Aníbal Rocheta is a professional mountaineer, climber, and author with over 23 years of experience leading expeditions across the United States, Peru, and Venezuela. As the first Latino Mazamas Climb Leader, he has paved the way for greater representation and equity in the outdoors. He is the author ofNadie Logra lo que No se Atreve, an illustrated guide to climbing and mountaineering that blends technical knowledge with life lessons on resilience and leadership. As Founder and CEO of Loco por la Aventura, Aníbal continues to break barriers, creating inclusive programs, training future leaders, and inspiring the Latino community and beyond to embrace the outdoors.

Maria Teresa Lopes Laguna – Director of Communications & Community Engagement

As Director of Communications & Community Engagement,Maria Teresa Lopes Laguna brings more than a decade of experience in journalism, television production, and public relations. She is recognized as a pioneer for creating Oregon’s first Spanish-language television program dedicated to outdoor adventures, opening new doors of representation for Latino audiences. At Loco por la Aventura, her leadership amplifies community voices and ensures inclusive, bilingual storytelling that strengthens connection, equity, and cultural pride across all our programs.

Ysaac Acosta – Treasurer & Director of Operations and Infrastructure

As Treasurer and Director of Operations & Infrastructure at Loco por la Aventura, Ysaac Acosta ensures the organization’s financial stewardship while bringing over 25 years of expertise as a civil engineer and construction professional. Based in Houston and Katy, Texas, he is also the owner of TPRO Services, where he has built a solid reputation in project management and construction solutions. His background provides valuable knowledge in logistics, risk management, and field operations. Within Loco por la Aventura, Ysaac plays a vital role in guaranteeing that outdoor programs and community events are carried out safely and efficiently. He also oversees equipment logistics, inventory management, and contributes to the strategic planning of future basecamps and mobile outreach initiatives.

Mr. Fernando Montilla - Director of Philanthropy

As Director of Philanthropy a tLoco por la Aventura, Fernando leads the development of strategic partnerships with brands, outdoor industry allies, and philanthropic foundations. Drawing from his professional experience at Petzl America, he brings valuable expertise in corporate social responsibility and ensures alignment between donor values and the mission of the organization. His responsibilities include identifying funding opportunities, managing corporate relationships, and strengthening the long-term financial sustainability of LPLA’s bilingual outdoor education programs. While not a member of the Board of Directors, Fernando is an essential part of our core team, driving the support and partnerships that fuel our mission.

Stefanny Vega – Director of Marketing & Brand Strategy

As Director of Marketing & Brand Strategy at Loco por la Aventura, Stefanny Vega leads the organization’s communications, branding, and strategic outreach. She develops high-impact campaigns that elevate LPLA’s mission, foster deeper community engagement, and build long-term visibility with donors, partners, and participants. Her expertise in digital marketing, storytelling, and cultural branding ensures that LPLA’s voice remains authentic, inclusive, and inspiring. SETH RING - Director of Educational Innovation

As Director of Educational Innovation at LOCO POR LA AVENTURA, Seth brings extensive experience in digital media, community education, and volunteer program development. With a background as Director of Education & Volunteers at MetroEast Community Media, he advises on the creation of culturally inclusive training programs that integrate technology and outdoor learning. Seth supports LPLA in building educational pathways for Latino youth, designing curriculum, and leveraging media tools to amplify community stories.
