A beginner-friendly outdoor rock climbing course designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of climbing in a real outdoor environment.

Join Loco por la Aventura for a hands-on experience at Horsethief Butte, where you’ll learn essential climbing skills, safety systems, and build confidence on real rock.


This course is perfect for first-time climbers or anyone looking to transition from indoor climbing to the outdoors.

No prior experience required.

This is more than a class—it’s your first step into outdoor climbing.

Participants will learn essential skills to climb safely and confidently outdoors:


🧗 Climbing Fundamentals

  • Basic climbing movement and technique
  • Footwork and body positioning
  • Understanding beginner routes

  • Harness and helmet use

  • Climbing communication and commands
