Hello nature and adventure lovers!🌲⛰️
Winter is in full swing, and there’s no better time to immerse yourself in the calm and beauty of Oregon’s snow-covered landscapes❄️. We’re excited to invite you to our Snowshoeing Tour to Mirror Lake on Friday, February 28, starting at 9:00 a.m.❄️🎿
This winter adventure takes place in the Mt. Hood National Forest, where snow-covered forests, frozen streams, and mountain scenery guide us to the peaceful and iconic Mirror Lake—often frozen during winter and reflecting Mount Hood on clear days.
❄️What is Snowshoeing?
Snowshoeing is one of the most accessible and rewarding ways to explore winter terrain. By distributing your weight across the snow, snowshoes allow you to walk comfortably over snowy and icy surfaces while enjoying landscapes that feel quiet, expansive, and untouched.
No prior snowshoeing experience is required, making this an excellent activity for beginners and experienced outdoor enthusiasts alike.
🌲About Mirror Lake
Mirror Lake Loop is a beloved, family-friendly trail in the Mt. Hood National Forest that transforms into a beautiful snowshoeing route during winter. The trail covers approximately 4.2 miles, with about 656 feet of elevation gain, making it a moderate snowshoeing experience suitable for most fitness levels.
The route winds through forested sections, crosses bridged streams, and opens into snowy meadows before reaching Mirror Lake. In winter, the lake is often partially or fully frozen, creating stunning scenery and peaceful reflections of Mount Hood. The quiet atmosphere and snow-covered surroundings make this destination especially memorable during the colder months.
