We are thrilled to share one of the most exciting milestones in the history of Loco por la Aventura: we officially have our very first organization vehicle—a 100% electric adventure van! This incredible achievement, finalized at the end of 2025, marks the beginning of a new chapter for our mission, our programs, and our community.
For years, we dreamed of having a dedicated vehicle that would help us remove one of the biggest barriers our Latino and BIPOC community faces when accessing outdoor activities: transportation. Today, that dream is finally a reality—and we couldn’t be more excited.
A Dream Come True for 2025—and a Powerful Step Into 2026
When we set our organizational goals for 2025, securing a fully electric van was at the top of our list. Not just any vehicle, but one that aligned with our values of sustainability, accessibility, and community well-being.
Today, we are proud to say that this dream was accomplished.
This van is not just a mode of transportation; it is a symbol of progress, equity, and environmental stewardship. It represents a major step toward strengthening our mission of inspiring, educating, and empowering the Latino community to embrace the outdoors—improving physical and mental health while protecting the natural spaces we love.

We’ve lovingly named it The Loco Van, and it is impossible to miss! Fully wrapped with our official branding, bright colors, and mission-driven design, it is a moving invitation for others to join our community of adventurers.

The Loco Van is ready to hit the road and support every outing, workshop, and wilderness experience we have planned this year.
Expanding Access to the Outdoors—One Ride at a Time
With more than 50 outdoor activities offered every year, this van will allow us to:

Transport participants who do not have access to a personal vehicle

Reach more families, youth, and adults who want to learn and explore

Carry gear, equipment, and educational materials safely and efficiently

Expand our capacity to offer climbing, hiking, camping, rafting, and environmental education programs

Break down transportation barriers that have historically limited access to the outdoors for underserved communities
In 2026 alone, this electric vehicle will directly benefit hundreds—soon thousands—of participants, helping them experience nature in a safe, supportive, and culturally relevant environment.
