Whether we're building a lightweight crevasse rescue kit or adding friction backup on a rappel, the Beal Jammy Prusik is a key piece of gear we never leave behind. Its aramid core gives it the heat resistance and strength to bite into ropes with confidence, while the polyamide sheath provides supple handling that won’t tangle or seize when we're moving fast in alpine terrain.
We’ve been especially impressed by how the Jammy grips on ropes of varying diameters—even slick dry-treated ones—and still releases smoothly when we need it to. It's one of those small, essential pieces that earns its spot on every rope team.
