Community Anniversary Celebration
One year ago, we opened the doors of Loco Basecamp Mountaineering Center, the first physical home of Loco por la Aventura.
What began as a dream has become a vibrant community hub where people come together to learn, explore the outdoors, build friendships, and discover new adventures.

Loco Basecamp Mountaineering Center is more than a gear shop.
It is a community space dedicated to making outdoor education accessible, inclusive, and welcoming to everyone.
Throughout the year, we host free and low-cost workshops, classes, trainings, and community events focused on hiking, climbing, mountaineering, outdoor safety, leadership, and wellness.
We also offer new and used outdoor gear, equipment rentals, and educational opportunities designed to help more people access the outdoors.
Most importantly, every purchase made at Basecamp helps support the work of Loco por la Aventura, allowing us to continue offering free outdoor experiences and educational programs to our community.
