The Edelweiss Quadro aluminum twist-lock trapezoidal carabiner is a compact carabiner with a unique trapezoidal shape. It's designed for connecting rope clamps to a harness or for any other application requiring a unique connector. Importantly, it's manufactured in accordance with the EN 362 standard, ensuring safe use.
Construction of the Edelweiss Quadro
The Edelweiss Quadro, thanks to its unique trapezoidal shape, is undoubtedly practical and comfortable to use. Despite its small size (100 x 80 mm) and weight (only 80 g), it maintains high strength parameters. The carabiner's strength in the main axis is 20 kN, in the transverse axis 10 kN, and with the gate open 5 kN.
The Quadro connector has a 15mm clearance. It features a twist-lock mechanism, which locks automatically. Opening the connector requires two steps: first, twist the collar surrounding the connector a quarter turn, and then push the connector. This technology significantly improves safety by virtually eliminating the possibility of accidentally opening or leaving the connector unlocked.
The connector is also designed without a hook on the lock head, preventing accidental snagging on ropes, webbing, or loops during equipment operations. Depending on the batch, the carabiner is sold with a black or red lock.
Service life and periodic inspections
