While seemingly simple, this snow saw is designed with precision and strength in mind. Every feature is well thought out to make the best of your winter adventures! The SMC Summit Snow Saw is crafted from aerospace-grade 7075 aluminum, our snow saw offers unbeatable strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. We've enhanced it with an ultra-lightweight (20 grams) protective 7 mil Polyester Sheath (do not throw this away, it's not cardboard), ensuring all your gear stays safe. Its ergonomic handle (as opposed to a traditional pistol grip snow saw) reduces fatigue for the user, and the hand-tuned, aggressive Stagger Tooth saw teeth guarantee efficient snow and ice clearing. Whether small or large ice/snow crystals the additional space between the stagger teeth allows for for efficient clearing during your cutting stroke. Designed for thrust cutting, it's the ultimate tool for mountaineering, alpine skiing, ski patrol, backcountry travel, and avalanche safety See the FAQ tab for specifics on why we think thrust cutting might be a better option for snow saws, as opposed to cutting on the draw portion of the stroke.
